2024 Marram Nganyin Mentoring Grants Announcement

The Koorie Youth Council (KYC) are pleased to announce the 5 Aboriginal organisations that will receive grants of $335, 000 to deliver strength-based and place-based mentoring programs over three years. This is the strongest commitment from the Victorian Government to Marram Nganyin since its inception in 2016, which has now seen over 300 young people supported across the state.  

  • Bunjilwarra Koori youth healing service
  • Weenthunga Health Network
  • Mullum Mullum Indigenous Gathering Place
  • Rumbalara Football and Netball Club
  • Winda-Mara Aboriginal Corporation

‘On the path to empowerment, self-governance isn’t a privilege but an essential requirement. The Marram Nganyin grants acknowledge this reality, offering resources for Aboriginal communities to mould their own futures, nurturing a tradition of self-reliance and prosperity for successive generations.’
