OPPORTUNITY: Marram Nganyin Aboriginal Youth Mentoring Project Officer role

Do you want to support young mob to develop skills and connections to strengthen culture and communities?

Our friends at Youth Affairs Council Victoria (YACVic) are looking for a full-time Aboriginal Youth Mentoring Project Officer to provide training, resources and support to five deadly Aboriginal organisations across the state.

The Marram Nganyin Aboriginal Youth Mentoring Project provides local mentoring opportunities for Aboriginal young people to develop their skills and their connections to their culture and communities, enhancing their life skills and connecting them to education, training, and employment. The role will work closely with the KYC Youth Mentoring Officer, who supports the Aboriginal organisations to engage young people and practice youth participation in the program.

The role will also provide limited support to the five recipients of Aboriginal Youth Engagements Grants, soon to be awarded by the Victorian Government Equality and Youth Branch (EYB) for short-term projects.
